Simple Machine And Lever

Simple machine works on the principle of force torque. In this, by applying a force on a convenient point, the load on a point can be lifted. 

Examples of Simple Machines :- Lever, pulley, sloping surface, screw jack, etc.

Machine efficiency=frac{Work done by machine}{Energy given to machine}times 100

Lever :- Lever is a simple machine. there are mainly three points of fulcrum, effort and Load.

Leverage Theory :- The product of the effort and the effort arm is equal to the product of the weight and weight arm.

Mechanical advantage of the lever

Mechanical Gain =frac{Load}{Effort}

  • Types of Levers :- There are three types of levers due to the relative positions of each other of the fulcrum, the effort and the load.
  • First - class Lever :- The position of the fulcrum is placed between the load and the effort.
  • Example :- Plier, Sandasi, Scales, Scissors etc.
